Meet Nanny McPurr...
I'm Becky, aka Nanny McPurr. Since 1996, I have worked in a professional capacity with animals.
I began my training as a veterinary nurse in 1997, and I qualified in December 1999. I have worked in several private, small animal practices across the West Midlands, between 1996-2008. In 2008 I decided to take a leap into the charity sector and I worked for the RSPCA Birmingham Animal Hospital until my second child was born in 2012. Here, I worked as a senior nurse and gained lots of experience in critical care and emergency nursing. I also undertook a Feline Advisory Bureau diploma in advanced feline nursing and behaviour, for which I gained a distinction. In addition to veterinary nursing, I worked as a consultant for Pet Paws, Birmingham's longest established pet sitting service for 15 years. Since leaving the RSPCA, I have undertaken my Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, but my one true passion is caring for animals. In particular; cats! Recently, with my family, I have moved to Kingswinford. I live with my partner, two children, three cats, Enzo, Simba and Lola and a bearded dragon called Drogon! I have decided to put my experience to good use by becoming Nanny McPurr. I am really looking forward to meeting lots of new feline friends and their owners.
